so my rig takes 2 AAs and my CA-9100 takes a single 9V.
What is my best option for re-chargeable batteries? I'd like to have 6 AAs and a couple of 9Vs ready to go at all times.
-
For AA's, I've never had a problem with Sanyo Eneloop - but get the standard ones, not the "xx" (those don't last as many cycles, apparently). They last many years/cycles.
Can't help you with 9V because I don't have any recharcheables.

Great choices, but for the AA's, I would go with

I love low self discharge batteries. Besides holding their charge a long time, they seem to last more cycles before they need replacing. After I reconditioned my 5 year old 2000 mAh Eneloops in my LaCrosse BC-900 charger, 85% of them still had a capacity over 2000 mAhs. You could also go for the 2500 mAHh Eneloops, but they are around 50% more expensive for 100 more mAhs.

I use 2300mah energizer AAs and this is my 3rd year with them. They still hold a full charge

I've recently moved to the Sanyo Eneloop AA batteries, myself. Even though they're only good for 500 recharge cycles, they last over twice as long as the regular Eneloops do. I'd rather take 8-10 hours over whatever and just have a spare set handy when I need to change. :)

Another vote for Sanyo's LSD Eneloop AA's, no experience with 9V rechargeables.

ditto. No probs with my Energizers so far. I don't have a 9v version though

in addition to the Eneloop AA rechrgeables i've had good experience with the Imedion AA 2400 mAh.

I also run the eneloop AAs, but I always carry a sealed pack of lithium AAs just in case.

2000 mAh Eneloops

These are the batteries I recommend for my products. Or the Maha 9.6v

While we're on the subject...
I recently seem to have turned into a massive user of AA sanyo enloops.
At any given show I will run 4 in the r-44 and 4 in the battery pack for the mr1 as well as 2 in any number of small recorders.
I love them, and they rarely need changing at a show, butl the MR2 or the R44 can eat a set at full charge in 3 hours sometimes.
What would you guys recommend as the best choice for recharging 8 or more at a time?
I'm currently using the lacrosse bc-700, which is great, but mine has begun to slack off charging in bay 4, and I always have to pull the other 3 and move batteries around to get everything charged overnight.
Thanks!
I was under the impression that we should a kid rechargeable 9v batteries. Is that true?

I should mention Sanyo is the oem manufacture for about 80% of the rechargeable cells out there. at least they used to be China has now taken over. but Sanyo always was and always will be a leader in the technology.

I have had great luck with the Sanyo 2700's.

Also, for charging 8 at a time, including a "soft" and "condition" mode, I like:
