mic for edirol r-1
« on: June 08, 2005, 03:18:38 PM »
hi, i recently bought the edirol r-1. and i'm also looking for a mic to use with.
i connected a cheap lav, and also the sony ecm-ds70p and i got hiss, which i didn't get while i was recording with a MD. you have any idea why it happened?

and i'm also looking to buy new lav, any recommendation? i mainly record speeches and lectures, sometimes in a classroom, nad sometimes in a car or an open field. what would fit? it's very important for me to eliminate backround noise.

i was looking even at the pro's thought i might give them a try. here is a list of some cardioid lav's i gathered, any recommendations:SONICSTUDIO LAPEL MIC, CORE SOUND CSB or LCB, SENNEHEISER ME104, AT-853-SP, MICROPHONE MADNESS MM-HLSC-LAPEL based on Sennheiser MKE-40 capsule, SHURE MX185BP, AUDIO TECHNICA AT831B, AKG LM 3 L + AKG CK31.

thank you.

p.s, if you have any idea other than lav mic, maybe 'true condenser' or so, please tell me. but keep it small cause mobility is important for me.
