I have no idea about price. 10k? That's seems a little high, but it is a Nagra.

i met a guy who does film production and he said this is what they usually use for audio in movie's, dont know the exact price but it atleast doubles the 722 in price, maybe triple

Yeah, I don't doubt it. Nagra has been the movie industry standard for years. They are certainly not for concert tapers. A used Nagra 4.2, now that's adifferent story. Those can be had for fairly cheap on ebay from time to time nowadays.

by the way thats msrp....they do discount a pretty good amount.....now if we only knew how good they sounded with internal pre/ad...I coulkd sell my grace, apogee, lappy and all my 12vs and might be able to swing it...

I'd have to think they probably can hold their own. Their pre is probably not quite up to snuff as a Grace or the a/d up to an Apogee, but I bet it sounds pretty good. You can always run digi into the unit through their proprietary cable.

maybe just send it to Jim Williams to upgrade the pre's and Dan Lavry for the a/d....no sense in an all in one box that doesn't do it all, and all right!
