I would be shocked if it doesn't sound better. Love the 500.

careful Muj!

I ran the ad500e and ad1000 for awhile and now I can't find an a/d that sounds anywhere near as nice.

great, great sounding boxes.

I've been tempted to buy Lee's lately...

So have I. Even if it died a year later it would be worth it.

Sorry Clark. For the record I sold him that unit. At least it was cheap. T+

hell if I only used it occasionaly and got to make a handful of tapes with it it would be worth it.

I've got a vegas vacation coming though and don't really need to spend the cash.

but it is tempting!

Well, I have no AD or pre now so it's real tempting. Plus Lee owes me some $$$ because my dumb ass ripped up the wrong check.   :P

for the money i paid for it, i totally knew the risks, at least i got to run it in the section at a phish show one time.  if i had the money, i might send it up to prodigital, but thas not happening.  but after it died i have gotten my hands on some other nice gear that i loved, mod sbm1, mme.  im not complaining

hhb is very hard to beat.
wish they made a standalone, like the spitmapper-1.

Then there could be Grace/Apogee/hhb debates  ;D
