Topic: Newbie question: Apogee MiniMe records at 24bit/96 kHz over USB?

From reading the manual, my understanding is that *over USB*, the MiniMe can record at most 24 bit / 48kHz.

Is this correct and it is not possible *over USB* to record at 24 bit / 96 kHz?

Because for the USB input, the recording software settings override the MiniMe settings, I just want to confirm my understanding and I want to avoid recording at 24 bit / 48 kHz if 96 kHz is possible (disk space is not an issue).

I'd be interested to hear about your results if you try it. Some people have been able to record up to 96 with the UA5 over USB, so it is definitely possible over USB. As to if Apogee has some sort of harware limitation to prevent 96 over USB, I don't know. But you are correct in that they only support up to 24/48 over USB. Kind of stinks because the VX cards have the same limitation I believe.

That's what the manual says... if you don't trust the manual setup in front of the stereo and try it.  Let us know what you find.
