power problems with m1

hey,
i can't plug my m-1 in to the wall wart with out it shorting out. i thought it might be the wire to the m1 but i tried a different wall wart and it wasn't working either so i'm convinced that it's something inturnaly something in the m1 anyone have any clue? i wouldn't mind tring to fix it my self.

any help would be great!
