External power for Littlebox
« on: February 06, 2018, 09:21:03 PM »
My version 1 Littlebox has an external power port. I’m going to have Ted make me a cable for it. Would like to use with batteries with USB A output. Any problems with this? Specifically this one:

Thanks.

I have only used RC batteries and the cable Jon made me but I have Anker batteries for other things and they work fine.
Same with Rav
Mics - AKG ck61/ck63 (c480b & Naiant actives), SP-BMC-2
XLR Cables - Silver Path w/Darktrain stubbies
Interconnect Cables - Dogstar (XLR), Darktrain (RCA > 1/8) (1/8 > 1/8), and Kind Kables (1/8f > 1/4)
Preamps - Naiant Littlebox & Tinybox
Recorders - PCM-M10 & DR-60D

I have a Littlebox V1 w/ the external jack.  I had Ted make me 3 different battery cables for the following bats:  9.6V RC, 9V DVD, and Tekkeon set at 9v.

That said, the 5V output won't cut it.  You need to discuss with Jon about possible modification to your LB.

Ted’s spec sheet gives a range of 5V - 16V for operating power. Unless the Version 1 is different?
