MQA: Anyone Heard It?
« on: May 27, 2017, 02:36:12 PM »
Since I don't own an MQA-capable DAC, and refuse to spend $19.95 on TIDAL, I haven't checked out MQA yet.

Has anybody hear heard it, and compared it to CD standard 16/44.1, or better?

I'm not sure I understand the process involved yet.

No, I haven't heard it but flac seems to be a reasonable way to transmit internet files and home storage is relatively cheap for large files.....I'm in no hurry, therefore, to hear it.

There's a lot of controversy around MQA.  I personally have no interest in MQA, particularly given that it is proprietary.  Here's some fairly objective technical information if you're more curious: http://archimago.blogspot.com/2017/01/comparison-tidal-mqa-music-high.html
