Topic: Mic repair?

I have an AKG C-1000s that got too wet a few Mountain Jams ago. Now the frequency is the same as the other. Anyone on here do these type of repairs?  Or can you point me in the right direction? Also, any thoughts of converting these to active (for the hyper option)? Thanks!
I also have an M Audio Pulsar II that crackles when its not set on bass roll off and would like to have this repaired too. Thanks again!

I guess that from lack of replies it would've easier and cost effective to replace instead of repair?

bench, shipping and parts costs for this mic make it pretty much disposable - you can buy a used one off ebay for less than $100

I had some AKG microphones (including capsules) repaired by that guy when he was still at AKG, and his work seemed very good to me.

(I sympathize with wanting to repair something instead of replacing it, if there's any possible excuse for doing so.)

Practically speaking, this is true even for CK capsules. At $300, I don't know why you would ever want to take a gamble on a used set or bother with repairs when you can simply buy a shiny new set guaranteed to work as intended.
