I have no idea about price. 10k? That's seems a little high, but it is a Nagra.

Yeah, I don't doubt it. Nagra has been the movie industry standard for years. They are certainly not for concert tapers. A used Nagra 4.2, now that's adifferent story. Those can be had for fairly cheap on ebay from time to time nowadays.

I'd have to think they probably can hold their own. Their pre is probably not quite up to snuff as a Grace or the a/d up to an Apogee, but I bet it sounds pretty good. You can always run digi into the unit through their proprietary cable.

maybe just send it to Jim Williams to upgrade the pre's and Dan Lavry for the a/d....no sense in an all in one box that doesn't do it all, and all right!

i would think that with the price tag and being associated as the standard in the film industry, the pre/ad section of the nagra V is probably pretty damn good, someone needs to do some beta testing for our application to find out

Since team Josephson doesn't have a ring to it, I say we'll be  Team America - Royers, Josephsons, Stephen Pauls (upcoming), and Earthworks!!!!

Gordon/ John Hardy/ Dan Lavry ?????

The only names that I've got are Dan Dugan(production mixers) and Wes Dooley(AEA ribbon mikes and forensics)
And of course, Doug Oade........
