Type of mics best for taping close to stage?
« on: December 07, 2005, 12:41:35 AM »

My current setup consists of a SP-BMC-3 Binaural Mics > SP-SPSB-1 bat box > Sony PCM-M1.

I've got a couple extra bucks(around $300) laying around to improve the setup.

Im going to a couple shows coming up sitting DFC row 2.

The shows will be taper-friendly but I dont want to be running a huge stand blocking peoples view.

Is there benefit to running the mics either on the front of the stage or the rail in front?
Which mics would you suggest for overall improvement?

Simon
