Topic: Audacity Normalizing Woes?

Using Audacity 1.2.3 for Mac OSX, I was rying to normalize a recording.  I selected all, clicked normalized, waited, and it was done.

However, all that was normalized was the right channel.  I took care of the problem by obviosuly splitting the stereo track, highlighting, and normalizing the left.

But I have never had problems with this until now.  I know it's not a big deal but it has happened to me today a few times.  Anyone know what's going on?
