AT3035 > Edirol UA-5 ? Studio and Taping?
« on: April 06, 2005, 11:20:20 PM »
Right now I have a small stealth setup AT853>SPCMC6>JB3 .... I am making my closet into a vocal booth and I am looking for a good setup that would accomodate hiphop vocal recording and could also be used in the field for taping.... I have done quite a bit of research and figured that the UA-5 is probably my best bet for a preamp since it has 24bit capabilities, the ability to do matrixes, and has guitar inputs (which i might also use since i play guitar)

Right now since I have a limited budget I think I am only going to buy one microphone so I can use it for my vocal booth and eventually (in a month or 2) i will buy a 2nd mic so I can use it to tape shows too.... I've been looking at the AT3035 and it seems like a pretty good mic for vocals and field recording.... My budget is like 200$ for a mic....what other options do you reccomend, I've seen some Rode's and Behringers but i dont know if they would be good for taping or exceed the AT3035s vocal recording capabilities....
