i just picked this up http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Energizer-Universal-DVD-Battery-Charger-ER-DVD-/sem/rpsm/oid/111698/catOid/-13225/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do will it work with my ua5?

it doesn't mention anything regarding the voltage, so i'm not sure.  FWIW the ua-5 will run on anything from 7.2v-12v i believe, so if it falls in that range you should be fine

isn't the polarity on the ua-5 reversed?  that might effect it.

Because nothing says "I have lots of money and am sort of confused as to how to spend it" like Bose.

"Includes: AC adapter (for recharging) and 4 universal plug tips."
it doesn't say which 4 adaptaplugs it comes with though....5.5 x 2.5 tip might not be included in that set

In either case you can head over to RadioShack and get the two plugs (B & M if memory serves) and an adaptaplug cable to run between them.  Just make sure you flip the B plug that goes into the UA-5 so the polarity matches up properly.

I thought the UA-5 ran on anything from 7.2v - 9v ? 12v would be too much, unless you have a regulator box to provide 9v to the UA-5. Is this correct?
