XLR Problem
« on: May 06, 2006, 11:51:24 AM »
Hey all,

Got a problem with a Switchcraft female XLR connector.  One of the internal sleeves slides back when connected.  I've tried disassembling and spreading the sleeve, but it still slides.  Is it okay to super glue that sucker?  If not what's the best approach?

Thanks for the help,

You need a new boot it sounds like because you are missing the plastic ring that sits inside the boot of the Neutrik XLR connecotor I would just replace the connector to be honest. I mean its $5.00 for a new connecotr $10 for a cheap soldering iron and you will learn how to solder if you dont already as anyone doing this stuff should learn how to solder its pretty easy.
