Church Audio CA-14 windscreen

Hi, has anyone ripped the windscreen off?  I know they are "Built in non removable windscreens"...but I'm just curious as to what happens if you removed it.  Or if anyone has done it.  Is there a body under there?  Or just a capsule with some wiring?  More curious than anything.  Thanks.
