IK Multimedia iLoud Micro Monitors ultra-compact 3" studio monitors with bluetooth - IP-ILOUD-MM-IN https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C5RZWCQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_oQdCDbA64NCB9

These replaced my Audioengine A2 pair, which I found to be grossly inaccurate from mid-range up.  So far, I’m really impressed with them.  They utilize DSP, with some basic settings to adjust for desktop vs stands.  Bass is impressive: they claim 55 Hz.  What I notice is way more low-level detail—more texture. For instance, finger snaps at beginning of a wonderful song by SHEL I recorded last week.  Airy sound.  Feel like I have more information hitting my ears.

Usually $299, on sale at Amazon for $229.

A 24-hr update: These speakers emit a high-pitched squeal when turned on.  It disappears after about 15 seconds and is apparently related to the Bluetooth function.  Unfortunately it persists, at a barely audible but audible level nonetheless, if you use BT.  Not a deal breaker for me since I’m using them to mix from a MacBook, but obviously it would be for BT users.
