I'm a long time MD taper, using AT-853's (from sound pros) with a battery box with bass rolloff. Mics are usually stealth mounted in a hat or under my shirt.

Thanks to the buzz on this board, I jumped in and bought a jb3 instead of the HiMD I had planned on. So, here goes...

I tape both club sized, singer/songwriter type shows and loud rock shows. Think Loudon Wainwright and Bruce Springsteen and you're in my area.

Will the above mic setup into the line input to the jb3 allow for enough gain to get decent levels at the quieter shows? I'm not worried so much about the louder shows. I'm used to using the mic-in on my old MD recorder for the club shows.

I've read the FAQs, but hope someone around here has a similar setup and can advise me more specifically.

Any suggestions will be helpful!

Thanks, all!
