« on: December 19, 2005, 03:34:51 PM »
...haven't started my research yet, but does anyone know if these little portable DVD players support DVD-A playback?

I'd be really surprised... a lot of regular dvd players don't do it.
Tickets are dead to me.  Except the ones I have, don't have, and lost.  Not to mention the ones you have, don't have, and lost.   And the ones that other dude has, doesn't have, and lost.  Let me know if you need some tickets, I'm happy to oblige.

i asked that in another thread, and someone pointed out a $2200 unit that does.
I saw that MOKE, but I've also seen in dash DVD/CD players that go for $5-600...but I think they just play mp3's burned on DVD media...

i think the in dash dvd/cd players play dvd videos, or audio in dvd-v format.  the mp3 thing is usually an added bonus.  or atleast i thought.

Because nothing says "I have lots of money and am sort of confused as to how to spend it" like Bose.

There were at least 2 DVD-A players for the car.
I remember them from Crutchfield a few years back.

Pioneer's

Here's a bit from Crutchfield on it:

Edit: This one says it plays DVD-A, but I don't see it anywhere else!
