Title: opinions wanted about this battery please
Post by: AdamZ on July 07, 2004, 10:53:12 AM
so I know nothing about batteries except to charge them and plug them in.
I checked battery space offerings and they dont have the Dell plug I need for the laptop (3 prong thing),
this ebay offering does:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3491177401&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT
It's small, Li-Ion, and goes for a while.
seems pricey but if it works, I'm all for it.
Anybody here hear of the guy or any info appreciated before I buy it.
Thanks

Well it looks like it's 6900 mAh's. I'm no expert on laptop batteries, but that's doesn't seem like very much.

The Valence N-Charge batteries are 5-10Ah, and I don't think they cost that much more than the one your looking at. Looks like the 5Ah version is $199 and the 10Ah is $299. I'm looking into getting the 10Ah version. Seems like the battery of choice, but I haven't been paying attention lately.

Here are some links:

You might be able to find one of those cheaper somewhere else. I know Sonic Sense has them on their website, but it doesn't look like you can actually buy them. Maybe you could give them a call.

my laptop runs on a 3800 mAh battery, 11.1 volts. That is plenty to power a laptop
