Hey All I have in my shopping cart 2 B-2 Pro Condenser Microphones My current rig is oktava mc12 both hyper and card> UA5> JB3
I want to have the B-2s for diffrent situations (it does card, omni and fig8) as well as a 3 mic mix. what is the best way to do a 3 mic mix with my setup? I need to get to get phantom power to the third mic obviously and convert the connections from XLR to RCA.

xlr to rca is easy:
http://www.cascademedia.net/cgi-bin/cmedia/scan/st=sql/fi=products/co=yes/se=cables/sf=category/se=Adapters/sf=subcat/tf=brand/to=/va=cat=cables/va=subcat=Adapters/va=subcat2=/va=catcode=adapt.html?id=fskYm8Xq
or try this

that xlr to rca would work, but you said you would still need phantom powering.. i might have a battery box up for sale here pretty soon. i don't know how soon, but otherwise, check ebay they have them occasionally, or go to http://www.bradleybroadcast.com/2001/micproc.htm i don't know how old that is, but the link still works... check it out.

If you do figure out a powering solution the best way to do the 3 mic mix is to run an omni in between 2 cards or hypers. I've heard a couple dead tapes that sound really good using this method.

hrmm, hypers > v3 > rca > ua5 and omnis > xlr > ua5 ........ 24/48 to laptop......sick! .....would you need a delay at all?

I was thinking of figure 8 in between the hypers
