I have only used a minime once.  it was at a cowboy junkies show this summer and the first few songs were very quite.  you can here the static where I raised the levels.  listening to the tape I didn't know what it was till someone posted about it.

funny, it was at junkies 7/21 that I first noticed it, while turning up during the unexpected acoustic encore.

I went back and listened very carefully to some of tapes I did using the mini-me, though I can only really hear it during level adjustments during quiet parts of the recording I find it ridiculous that its there at all...talk about poor design....

I experienced the same issue with the original Rev A unit I purchased and then the replacement Rev B model Apogee sent after the Rev A crapped out.
I ended up selling my Mini-Me and downgraded to a UA-5 and have found the Edirol to be a much better unit.

I have My MME for a year and a half.  I have not had a singal issue with it . There is no noise in my recordings, nor has anything happened that is weird or unusual.  It sounds great every time...I run  a set of MBHO648/Ka200>monsters>MME>M1..............Love it Love it Love it......
