yeah i have been using phil alot lately. he is definantly a stand-up guy! i was just wondering where everyone was going since that one place closed (cant remember the name of it for the life of me) but i always did business with them before

FWIW phil is selling 60 and 90m hs4s for 2.20 untill the end of the year, i guess il jump on that and buy a bunch

I bought a box from Cascade Media not too long ago, but I think Phil may be cheaper now.

i would think phil would be cheaper right now. but  the sonicsense site says 2.20 on blanks untill the first of the year, i bet they go up then

i guess il have to break down and buy a box of 60m and one of 90m before then

I always get my blank DATs from http://www.am-dig.com
they've got good prices, great service, quick shipping, and are cool folks in general.

looks like thier prices are high

individually
hs4/60m 2.79 - 10 pack 2.69 each
hs4/90m 2.89 - 10 pack 2.79 each

phils site still say 2.20 for both the 60 and 90m hs/4s, wether you buy 1 or 10

That is significantly higher, I do go through them for cdr media though. I'm also not sure which Maxells they carry either. I usually go through O Bros or Sonic for those.

they gotta figure a complete revamp of the sales dept. is gonna hurt business.  I'm sure there are bigger fish buying from them than just tapers, however.

I'll toss in one that hasn't been mentioned. I use CassetteHouse now more often since TT stopped selling media. They do cost more, but they also have sales regularly which is when I stock up (I usually buy in lots of 100 or 50 in order to not have to rush out to buy tapes). They still have Fuji tape which is what is in their MasterDAT DATs, and they also sell 94 minute unlabeled Fuji tape -- cheap, which comes in handy for local bands.

I'm selling my Josephson mics:

http://www.taperssection.com/yabbse/index.php?board=7;action=display;threadid=11834

to get ADK TL's

Larry at ADK told me Wind Over the Earth had the best pricing.

Paul at ProDigital has had my AD-1000 for over a month now. I guess the parts are hard to come by for it.  Anyway... With the ADK's and the fixed AD-1000 I should be good to go. Doesn't look like it's going to come together before the moe. Valentines Day show at the Fillmore though.

Calico... I'll be running fob at those shows but Todd R will have my u89s back in the section. make sure you come and say hi!

Will do.  :)

I've never taped moe.
What's the deal? Is FOB cool, or on the DL?
Do I need a tapers ticket? I've never had to get one for any Fillmore shows in the past.

See you there.  :)
I'm psyched about seeing moe for the first time. I've never heard/seen Galactic. Maybe I'll try different mic configurations during their set.

Has anyone ever done any u89 or u87 comparissons with the ADK TL's?

Phil and I talked about running a comp between the adk's and u89s, and jbk has mentioned it too. If you guys can come up with a matching back end (pre/a-d) I'd be happy to setup the u89s for a comp. I'm guessing the adk's would match up nicely!
I’ve had a few weird experiences and a few close brushes with total weirdness of one sort or another, but nothing that’s really freaked me out or made me feel too awful about it. - Jerry Garcia
