Cabling for a Tascam DR40
« on: April 13, 2018, 05:59:09 PM »
Howdy

My current set up is - CA14s>CA9200>Edirol R09HR.

My edirol is on its last legs and I am looking at the DR40 as a replacement.

My question is what cabling would I need from the CA9200 to the DR40?

The output on the pre is 3.5mm.

All my taping is  >:D so I'd prefer as little bulk in cabling as possible.

Thanks
mics  - CA11 (c & o) CA14 (c & o)
pre - CA9200, CA9100
recorders - Edirol R09hr, Tascam DR1

Why a DR40 if you are running  >:D?  I use the DR-2D which is mini to mini.  Its smaller than DR40

Because I can't find a DR-2D and I fancy having a recorder with dual recording.

I just picked up an extra DR-2D on ebay for $100 (have 5).  I offered it to someone else but he may get the new Roland.  If he doesn't want it we can figure something out since I will be in London in July and can ship from there.

Really? That would be excellent.
