So anyway, has anyone actually, well here at least, run MBHO's with an mp2?  I think I need a little umph in my low end, so that was why I was asking about a transformer based pre!  Please don't suggest I get different mics either, I love what I got...or at least until I get score a pair of u89's!

i think jonnys a fool for doing so, i would take out a loan before i sold my gear.  shit i'll sell a kidney.  how about a good wife, anyone want her?  just kidding.  props to jonny for going after what he wants at all cost.

I ran MBHO's with an Mp-2. The MBHO's really don't have much bass and what they did have was made even more sloppy by the mp-2. Don't look for the mp-2 to give you better bass with the MBHO's.

I have a good sample for you're if interested.
SCI 2/19/00 Denver Fillmore
Set I 603a/200>V2>1000 and set II Schoeps 64v>same.
I have another copy of the show from the same mic stand with the same mics into an MP-2/adc-20

These make for an interesting listen although there is no perfect a/b comparison in the little less.
