Samsung 8GB CF card?
« on: April 17, 2007, 10:30:11 PM »
Anyone try this yet?

Can't find any data on sustained write speeds, but am thinking of giving it a try with my forthcoming MT and HD-P2 since it's one of the best prices I've seen that still includes an actual spec listing.

Never mind, went with a couple Kingston Elite Pro 8GB cards instead for $60/ea:

Great luck with my old 4GB Elite Pro cards, so I felt more comfortable with these and the price was better.  Mail-in rebate instead of instant, but should still do the trick.  :)

if anyone does have experience with the Samsung CF cards, I'm interested to hear it.  I'm thinking of picking up a 16 GB card to use with my HD-P2...  for $235, it's not bad...

Great price, those things have come way done. About 1 month ago I bought the transend 8GB for $85.

The $60 is after rebate, but I got one earlier this week and used it last night in my MT with no troubles. I think the Adorama rebate is good till April 30.
