I just finished a pair of shorty 18" XLR > 1/8" with 12db Attenuation in the XLRs for My Korg MR-1

This is so I can run my NT222's, my Grace Pre, and PSP-2 and keep the levels reasonable on the MR-1.  Up till now I have had to run at -12db almost every show.

I used Musilux cable, Neutrik XLR's and RatShack gold 1/8" connectors.  For the Attenuation I used 1% hand matched resistors in the following config:

>----75 Ohm --+----->
                         |
                        47 Ohm
                         |
>----75 Ohm --+----->

Pain fitting the Resistors and all the heat shrink it to a Female XLR but they did fit - barely

That's freakin awesome!  I use -10db in-line pads with my MR1 for the same reason.  I considered going the same route you did, but had no confidence in my ability to do anything but make a total hash of it.  Glad to see someone else step up and do it right!!

A 200 ohm load is excessive.  You should use resistors about 10x those values.

What issues will I run into?  As I have already made the cable - Should I disassemble and re-build?
