Mini-XLR to 4-Pin XLR?
« on: November 03, 2008, 10:20:46 AM »
I just got a bunch of ecocharge's with 4-pin XLR connectors. The power cable for my V3 has a mini-XLR connector.
1. Are there commercial available adapters that are wired correctly?
2. What is the correct wiring if I want to make one myself?

TIA

Not sure if your V3 is wired for 12v or 6v but...
Ecocharge 12v are pin 4 (+) pin 1 (-).  6v are pin 3 (+) pin 2 (-)

Thanks.
The V3 is 6v, but from my understanding there's no difference in wiring, or operation for that matter, other than the battery meter calibration.
The ecocharge's are 7.2v, so I'm going with pin 3 (+), pin 2 (-).
I suppose I'll just take off the mini-XLR for my V3 cable, and wire a 4-pin XLR on.
