BUSTED!!

but seriously tho, i pretty much do like em out of any box, theyre an all around great mic, and the best value out there, especially w/ the schoeps going on the rise again!!!

even really dig the 481>zefiro box tapes i have, and i LOVED the 481>dmic combo

i've run this thing about 4 times now and still get really shitty levels even opened all the way up and running fob at the fillmore.  i don't know what the deal is!  maybe i'll borrow some other mics and see if it's just a low output from the oktavas, but i've never had that problem before...well when todd r takes a look at it we'll see what's up.

"Just remember stage-lip/on-stage is probably a monitor recording not from the general speakers. I'm sure the levels are much lower on-stage... otherwise the musicians would go deaf even faster. "

in my experience, sound levels on-stage are louder than at foh or ts. ever noticed that most musicians wear earplugs?
the main thing your going to pickup from the monitors is vocals and things like keyboards that use direct-outs instead of on-stage amps.
