Title: Yet Another Noise Question
Post by: opsopcopolis on September 23, 2015, 08:11:00 PM
Hey everybody,

Was out recording Tom Hamilton's American Babies last night.  Went to put together my matrix this evening and discovered that the AUD source has a bunch of noise throughout.  It's not really noticeable for the most part, but there are some areas where it's a bit distracting, even under the SBD. To me it doesn't quite sound like microphone noise, as that is usually more prevalent and I would think would present in more of a stereo fashion.  Not really looking to get rid of it (not really possible), more just figure out what it might be.

Oh, also, the noise is not in the board tape at all.

Thanks!

ETA: The more I listen to it, the more I'm thinking it's noise within the PA because it doesn't seem to be affecting the more stereo elements and stuff that was outside of the full blast of the PA (drums and bass in particular). Also the waveforms look fine to me
