Thanks for the DPA samples.

I actually prefer the CMC-8 sound for some reason (Listening on speaker btw). Sounds clearer and more upfront to me but the DPA sounds great too, they are quite close sound-wise imo.

I boosted the cmc-8 bass at 100Hz by +8dB.
The dpa recording is amplified only...it needs some treble boost.

mp3 samples:
here the sp-cmc-8 low-sens-mod version of RED HOUSE:
gain 26 of 30 on line-in(MZ-RH1) with bbox

here the DPA 4061 version of RED HOUSE:
iriver H100, safety-clip, gain +15dB, bbox

Tonight I´ll try to make 2 recordings from the same show with my 2 mics and 2 recorders.
DPA4061+bbox+iriver rockboxed
low-sens sp-cmc-8+bbox+MZ-RH1

If all turns out as supposed to, this will show how these mics sound under the same circumstances.

Thanks Arni - Please let us know how it turns out!

 :)

here the SP-CMC-8 version on DIME with 2 samples
http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=191043

Downloading this one now - I'd love to hear the dpa version side by side if you could manage that somehow...

 :)
Am editing the dpa-version right now ;).
Upload will follow in about 1-2 hours on DIME.

Were you about 15 ft from the stage, center? Great samples...
You either record it or it's gone forever.
