Bogen 3373 owners: question.

The legs seem a little long to me...Did you cut the legs of your 3373? If so, what is a good length to cut?

When totally flat on the ground they are pretty long. I still have my original length legs, but I'm beginning to see the merit in hacking them down - see the Stealth Stand Shootout thread in the photo section.

I cut about 8-10 inches off my legs so that when folded up the legs don't stick out further than the rest of the stand.

I only did this because i own another stand that i use most of the time and will use the 3373 for low profile, on-stage and stage lip recording where the extra height is not needed and the smaller footprint is something i want.

I got mine from someone on here so that the legs were already cut off a bit, but they are cut so they reach the joint towards the top of the hinge if that makes sense.  Too bad I can´t use it anymore because carrying it in my suitcase which the airline destroyed resulted in the tubes all being bent so it will not open....

This is exactly what I was thinking of doing.
