(i know) what can be done with a broken sabra som t bar
« on: October 06, 2004, 07:19:52 PM »
so right now ive got a broken sabra som tbar lyiing around taking up space  :'(, though not much, too much.
ive been thinking about hanging it on the wall or tying it on the grill of my car in place of the longhorns i will never have.
but seriously, there got to be something productive to my rig, my taping that can fix the situation.
the big nob that tightens the sheath that holds the actual bar is broken.
possibly fix this with superglue or i was thinking i could weld the bar it to the replacement bar sent by sabrasom in order to create a 3 mic bar.  but if the thing breaks under 2 mics i doubt it would healthly hold three.

i was thinking i could superglue it in vertical place as a DIsortofmyself vert bar.
and suggestions or experiences with manipulating these broken bars?

Just contact sabra-som.

They will send you replacement parts.

They even sent me extra parts and a free T-bar when my first package of parts got lost in the mail.

I contacted the US Distributor in NJ about losing one of those tiny ass nuts that are used on the thumbscrews for the mic pillars. They sent me two replacement pillars, one of which had a 1/4 > 5/8 adapter!

Governor Jim McGreevey was equally disturbed about the upcoming population increase. "New Jersey cannot support all of these wookies," he said. "For starters, we don't have nearly enough kindbud. At best, we can muster up a Q.P. of some beasties, but we've not a dime-bag more."

works like a fucking charm.
i picked up some plastic epoxy (sp?) and filled the hinge on all sides by moving it around and the hexagonal bolt opening then set it at a right angle and now i have myself a very sturdy Vert bar.  immovable, but stronger than the original.

this was done after getting a brand new bar free of charge from the company.   when that new one breaks, i wont be needing another, ill just bind it horizontal then have 2 nice and strong bars.

peace
