Stealth: Collar vs "Head"
« on: May 28, 2018, 03:38:27 AM »
What do you guys prefer?

Mics clipped to head or at a collar?

Advantage for Head (Baseballcap etc) (in my opinion): Better Sound and less clapping
Advantage for collar (in my opinion): You can move your head.

Whats your technique? If open discussion is not wanted, please PM :)

Always head for me. The extra few inches seem to make a world of difference. But then I'm barely 5'7...

Ok one disadvantage about head: where to go with the cables from head to Recorder?
It is always visible for people standing behind you, except you wear a neckerchief or something similar.

Wear a collared shirt and use a backward trucker cap with the bill covering the space between the hair and the collar.

Grow your hair long enough to cover the wires.
Wear a wig?

Your wang isn't a good mic stand, so I'd go with your collar.
