Stereo mini (F) to dual-1/4" mono (M)?
« on: January 24, 2010, 11:21:06 AM »
I looked around on the Internet for this with no luck - I can assemble a cable out of a couple of different ones + adapters, but I don't love the idea of doing that.  Anyone know of somewhere that sells this?  Intended application would be to plug stereo mini terminated DPA 4061 into the 1/4" inputs of an R-44.  I assume that this might be a custom job?

I can make this for you, but in highest quality mode at fair price.  Please copy this posted request sending in PM for better email address to continue the discussion.

B&H, $5 or so. I got one from them (reverse the sexes but they had others).

You're in NYC (or near right)? Could even save on shipping and see the pullys...
"This is a common practice we have on the bus; debating facts that we could easily find through printed material. It's like, how far is it today? I think it's four hours, and someone else comes in at 11 hours, and well, then we'll... just... talk about it..." - Jeb Puryear

Nice! Thanks.  Not sure how I missed that.

I have a Niant adapter that converts P48 to plug in power and breaks left and right out to xlr. Check for MSHilarious on ts.com.  Same fellow making the littlebox preamps.

You need more than just the cable adapter for powering the mics. The Niant product also balances the audio for long cable runs...

Normally, you are right, but in my case, my 4061s have the coresound BB, which I will annoyingly have to gaffer tape to my stand until I can either chop them down or find an alternate solution. You are right that your suggestion is a more elegant solution.

In that case, what you really have is the core sound HEB... :P
