Hey All,
Juat got my AmazonBasics gear bag in the mail the other day along with the Big Ass Shure Windscreens. I used to own a Portabrace Clip-on Pouch for carrying screens but can anybody suggest anything similar that might be a bit more budget friendly?
Thanks!

I actually repurposed a bag I had left over from a project site where I had to keep an escape respirator on me at all times. I never needed to use the respirator but the bag fits the Big Ass Shures nicely and it have a belt loop that snaps that I just attach to my bag when I'm going to need them. Look around and you should be able to find a respirator bag that's similar for ~$10. Here's one that might work:

I keep mine in a tennis ball container. It smooshes them a bit but they always pop right back into the correct shape.

In a crown royal bag
-
A piece of *cardboard tubing, stuck inside of an old athletic tube sock. The cardboard is rigid enough to protect, and the sock is stretchy enough to create a means of retention within the c.board tube.
free
* a piece of drain pipe, or pvc pipe would do well, as well.

I just keep mine in the little plastic bags them came in and stuff them where they'll fit in my bag.

Great question. We don't have a great method. We've tried the canisters which Staples monitor wipes come in. kindms keeps his in a thick plastic bag like computer parts get shipped in. Currently I have an entire LowePro bag dedicated to the windscreens, mounts and cables! it's lightweight but takes up too much space for what it holds.

Dry bags work well. Cheap, light, and clip right onto your shoulder strap of gear bag. Plus, you have something to throw your precious gear into when the monsoon pops up.

Corfitchris- thanks for that link. I'm interested in one or two of these now. kindms has some larger versions of the dry bag and they are great for camping.
question- will this size dry bag hold two BAS'?

I don’t know. I have a few from camping that I use, but not sure the size. You probably want to stop into a Walmart or Academy sports store and look at sizes.

Dry bags and stuff sacks are often sold by volume. Grab your BAS and a ruler and you should be able to easily estimate the volume of them.

I use a 3 ring zippered pencil pouch with a clear window. Has 3 holes, I put a key ring in one of the holes and attach to outside of gear bag strap

Man I cannot believe I never thought of this. Picked up a 4L at LL Bean, Fits the shures with a nice amount of room and clips right around the shoulder strap. Awesome idea

Store them in your back pockets. They will give you a "Big Ass"!

I've been using these nylon mesh storage bags for carrying and storing almost all of my windscreens for years. This includes the BAS. These bags are available in a wide range of sizes and colors. I use the REI, black, drawstring closure bags. The REI bags are very sturdy, lightweight and practically see through! The mesh bag can easily be attached to your gear bag.
