Well done Trey - now let's see some pictures!

Enjoy all that new music you've ordered up

The Mytek ADC24/96 gets good press here and there's quite a following for the bel Canto e.One Dac3 both of which are Usable as a preamp.  I'm strongly considering some of the bel Canto gear here in near future. The Reference 1000 monoblocks (or perhaps the 300's) are calling my name.  Though with the Schoeps price increase coming up investing in some of their microphones might not be a bad idea.  We'll see if Audiogon presents the right opportunity.  I just missed a pair of the 1000's.

ys audio doesnt suck.
I've been reading a lot of great things about the Dared preamp.  class A.
minimal design..., roll the tubes and apparently the thing is a monster.

$450 new, <$300 used.  hot item right now though, and used ones dont come up often or last very long.

I'm sort of in the same boat Trey.  I need a front end in a bad way.
I'm leaning towards the Cambridge Audio 740c (CD player w/built in DAC for external digi feeds) and the Dared w/nice tubes.  that should be just the ticket.  Smooth transport, DAC for the computer library access..., viola.

then I also have a dedicated transport for music that is not being beaten by my children loading up Aladin and lady in the tramp over and over (and not gently).

I hope someone on this board buys the new BC dac, I'd love to hear a report
