The Energizer "Ultimate Lithium" batteries are getting a little expensive to run so I would like to pick up a couple external batts for powering. I currently run the BG 10-14-88 (10-14V 8000mAh(88.8Wh) to power my R4 Pro and have an additional BG10-14-88 as a back-up. Would the additional BG10-14-88 be appropriate for powering either of the VMS boxes? Below are the powering specs per Schoeps.
Operation with internal batteries (possibly rechargeable):
Number and type of cells: 6 x AA
Recommended battery type: Alkaline
Recommended rechargeable type: NiMH
A user-replaceable fuse protects against reversing the polarity
of the batteries.
Battery life with alkaline cells: ca. 8.5 hours
Battery life with rechargeable batteries: ca. 3 h (700 mAh
NiCd); ca. 5.5 h (1300 mAh NiMH)
External powering:
Coaxial socket, 5.5/2.1 mm
External power supply (not included):
DC (stabilized): 6V, 500 mA – 15 V, 250 mA
The unit can also be operated with an unfiltered voltage from 6 V up to 15 V at the external supply input socket.
AC: 10 - 13 V
External powering with outboard rechargeable battery:
nominal 6 - 12 V
Parallel operation
from a single power supply of a VMS 5 U along with one
or more other pieces of equipment is generally possible,
because of the internal galvanic isolation by the regulator.
An appropriate AC power adapter is available (designation:
VMS 5 DC). Other power adapters with 6 - 15 V stabilized
DC output at 500 mA can also be used.
Thanks in advanced for any help.
