VU meter power ???
« on: July 30, 2004, 06:29:00 PM »
I just ordered a 2x5 VU meter circuit board for my UA5 and was wonderin' if I could power my VU meter w/ my 9.6 nimh RC battery by using my home made cord w/ duel female RC plugs and I would solder a male RC plug on my VU meter. I was hopin' the extra plug has enough potential which I believe it does to power my UA5 and VU at the same time. I do have a quick blow .5 fuse but this goes out to my UA5 but I don't believe this would protect my VU meter well it?
Peace

You should be fine.  I can't immagine that it would even be noticable as drain on the battery.

I do think taping is the reality of the business..it is also an impetus for artists to create studio CDs that are ART, not just another recording...    Fareed Haque  2-4-2005
