I just got a Zoom F4 and have a few questions (there are so many options it's a bit overwhelming)! How do I use a 3.5mm lav with it? I plugged in a 3.5mm->1/4 adapter to plug into one of the 4 XLR/TRS combo ports and it wasn't working. I made sure plug-in power was on as well. I don't exactly know what the input 5/6 are for either, but I tried plugging it directly into there (as it was a 3.5mm jack) but that didn't work either. I read that it was used for plugging directly to your camera, but I wasn't sure if it's able to be used as an actual "input" for another mic too.
Does the F4 have a line-in as well? For example, if I'm recording an event and am given a line-out, where would I plug that into? Do the 4 XLR/TRS ports act as both a mic and a line-in? Is there a setting you change to switch between the 2?
