Small mains/headphone amplifier
« on: June 02, 2011, 05:13:45 PM »
I'm looking for a small monitor/headphone amplifier (speakers: Paradigm mini monitor, headphones: Sony 7506).

I tried the Dayton DTA-100a from Parts express.  The sound is clean, but I noticed an intermittent static/noise in one channel.  It sounds like someone shuffling papers or cloth, with some mild popping too.  This may be quality control issues that I've heard about the amp.

OK, does anyone have any other suggestions for a lower power (20-50W per channel) to replace this with.  I would ideally like independent headphone output/control, and also switchable inputs.

Thanks,
 Richard

I own the original FUN and love it. no remote (that may have changed since). Nice clean sound 2 types of gain and switchable parts.
