Title: Sony Soundforge Audio 9 ?
Post by: markrsmith on February 03, 2015, 08:17:17 PM
I am trying to open a file that is 24/48 and over 2 hours.  It keeps saying a read error.  Is Soundforge 9 not able to open that large a file?  Or is there setting I need to change in the program?
Add Edit: just over 2gb

I use Soundforge 10 Pro and never had an issue with files over 2 GB

Try splitting it into 2 files in CD Wave or similar and then see if SF9 works.

Yah stu, I think that is the "work around" solution.  Had this happen once before with another large file.  Thought that I have worked with other files that  were bigger than 2gb, but can't fully remember.  I will split this one in to 2 files , that shouldnwork.
As always thanks for the advice.
