Just wondering if others have noticed the introduction of a hum in recordings when using the AC adapter with the M10.  I'm doing some vinyl transfers, and decided to use AC rather than batteries, and a low hum was loud and clear on the recordings.  Sigh. . .

The hum definitely doesn't appear when transferring from vinyl with batteries in?

I have never used an AC adapter with an M10.  FWIW, I had an offbrand laptop power supply that introduced hum onto my laptop when I was recording via firewire from a Focusrite interface.  the hum went away when I switched to a factory power supply.

is your power adapter on the same circuit as the playback system?

My M10 power adapter is still in the box that it came in, where it has been since day one. If I was using the M10 to transfer 100 vinyl's I'd still use batteries.

I honestly forgot that the M10 even came with a power adapter until I saw this post.

But anyway, testing to see if the problem recurs while running with batteries seems like the necessary first step.

Absolutely not. I prefer to use the AC adaptor when transferring vinyl, hate to have to do a side over if the batteries croak!

Never had a problem like that with the M10.
