Just bought one of these from Guitar Center used/beat up for $20.00

This might be the best purchase i ever made. It has a mini stereo input, so i tryed the headphone out
of my Roland R-05 > Sonic Port > Iphone 8 and it works perfect with Mixlr, no other apps needed. The Iphone recognizes
the Sonic Port as soon as it is connected, and it over rides the mic input. Did a few tests and it works great.

If you want to eliminate the recorder and record directly to Iphone, just use the Shure MOTIV app for IOS. Records
up to 24/48 and is only limited by amount of free space. You can't do both at the same time, record only or stream only.

I tried the test stream yesterday and it sounded really good.

I've been using a sonicport for streaming for close to two years it works great.  $20 is a great deal. You can find them cheaply on ebay but the sonicport to lightning cable is proprietary so make sure its included and in good shape.

It uses the lightning connector and will work with an Iphone 7.

There also is a VX version that allows you to inject power to the phone/ipad while streaming (be careful as it doesn't work with some models) but it's larger

My usual set up is a pair of DPA 4060's, Church audio preamp, Sony PCM-10. It's simple and surprisingly good, but something always goes wrong in the field. bad connector, recorder issue, battery issue, mics won't stay taped to my shoulders, etc. etc. I'd love to eliminate some of this, especially the wires!

Is there any way to interface the DPA 4060's, which currently terminate in a 1/8", with my iPhone 6+?

I recently tried out the Hookeverse wireless binaural earbuds from Hooke Audio.  Pretty good for a $200 consumer device! The noise floor reminds me of what I used to get when I was running my first taping rig, a pair of CSB's, battery box, and mic in on a Sharp minidisc player. It's nothing like the quality I get from the traditional rig, but I wasn't expecting it to be, given the price difference.  Being able to record with no wires at all is wonderful!

(Note: the HookeAudio app still doesn't save to WAV :(
I recorded Tool from fairly far back, and the bass overloaded things spectacularly, and I had the app's record level set to 1/11.

There are at least two other binaural headset options on the market or soon to be on the market, Sennheiser Smart Headset, and Scenes Lifelike. Both are wired options, but you'd be dealing with only one cable to your phone. So, who wants to try one of these two?
