Disc drive help
« on: December 27, 2010, 10:33:18 AM »
So my laptop disc drive is not reading cds or burned cds at all, it will however read a blank disc and allow me to burn discs, this is a major issue since this is the computer I use for my itunes and dump them over to my external hard drive, any thoughts, would some driver be turned off? When I do a diagnostic check it says everything is working properly, any help would be great!

I had a similar issue with my asus N80Vb, running windows 7, and I ended up having to update the drive firmware from the Asus support site. try searching around the support site for whatever kind of laptop you have. if not the driver, try updating your BIOS. that is usually found on the company's website easily. don't be afraid about the process of updating bios, it really isnt that hard.

good luck
