OK, so I use Wavelab 6 for editing.  I wanted to start seeding 24 bit versions of my files too so I began using Wavelab's marker feature first and creating a 24 bit file set and then resample and dither for a 16 bit file set.  Well, the problem is that this leaves SBEs on both (despite Wavelab's manual saying that it wont)

Long story short I seeded a show or two before deciding to look into whether Wavelab had fixed the issue from v5.  When I drag and drop my 16 bit file set into TLH it will fix the SBE's.  When I drag and drop the 24 bit file set into TLH I get an error that says something like "Audio information about this file is unavailable."  I tried to decode my FLACs to wave and re-check for SBE and get the same error.

Any insight?

I believe SBE's are a non-issue for 24bit files that will be played as 24bit files (and not dithered down for playback).  SBE's are really only an issue if you wish to comply with Redbook Audio CD Standard and avoid those annoying 'tick' sounds or skips that sometimes happen at track breaks when playing back a burned audio CD.

"On the disc, the data is stored in sectors of 2,352 bytes each, read at 75 sectors per second, excluding the overhead of EFM encoding, CIRC, L2 ECC, subcode channels, and so on, which are not typically exposed to the application reading the disc. As the table of contents locates track listings according to sector, tracks must be aligned on sector (588-sample) boundaries."

So in summary, worry about SBE on 16 bit sets and not 24 bit sets?

yes.  sbe's only relate to burning audio cds so it doesn't matter for 24bit.
