Power failure on r4 deck, recording salvageable?
« on: November 01, 2012, 06:21:15 PM »
Blew a circuit breaker last night that was feeding the console and my deck, is there a way to salvage the recording?  This happened once before but the band didn't want a copy anyway so I never worried about finding a way to fix it.

Would really like to get this recording fixed if there is a way to do it.

My vague recollection of the R4 is that it writes the WAV file as it goes, so you might be able to salvage the recording up to when you lost power.  Check the R4 for 0 byte WAV file(s).  If you find 0 byte WAV File(s), check this forum's README1st for info on recovering the WAVs.
