Is the LC3 the right cable for this? And can they still be purchased?
-
There are two types of Neumann LC3 cables terminating in different connectors on the mic body (amplifier) side - one is a lemo connector that mates with the KA100 adapter and the other one that screws directly on to the KM100 body.
I forget what nomenclature differentiates the two...

Might be your friend, not mine. I suck at searching. But thanks, that’s the info I was looking for.
So anyone still sell these cables?
-
Last time I checked, both versions of these cables could still be ordered from Sennheiser, but that was a couple of years ago.

Thanks! I’ll look into it.

I still haven't seen these for sale for a while. I'd follow David's advice and call Sennheiser USA. As far as I know B&H doesn't even sell the newer LC 3 KA anymore. They would probably just special order it from Senny USA.
For what it is worth, the attached picture includes the TWO pieces that you need to construct a complete [older] active cable. The part on the right is the KA 100 and attaches to the mic body and the part on the left is the LC 3 that attaches to the mic capsule. Connect the two together with the Lemo connectors.

In a different generation of these accessories, the part that screws on to the amplifier/body (KA 100) was a solid piece with the Lemo socket built directly into it. I currently have a pair of those for sale in the Yard Sale, with a different photo from the one shown here; the photo here shows what was then called simply the LC 3 (= the capsule end of this arrangement plus the extension cable itself) with one of this type of KA 100.
