Someone posted video of a show I recently attended. I want to DL the HD video and mix with my audio. I don't plan to trade/seed the show. It would just be for my personal collection.
I already send a msg to the video taper and I yet to receive a reply.
What program do you guys use to DL Youtube videos? Either Mac or PC
thanks

http://keephd.com/

Another option:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper/

Keepvid does HD too.. I don't see a need to use anything else
-
So does jDownloader. Works on Macs and PCs.

There are several programs that do it. Although I've come to realize with some that I've used that Youtube eventually starts blocking them, so you have to update the version you're using. Of course, that presupposes that the person that wrote the program doesn't mind keeping a step ahead of Youtube and recodes it so that it can once again download from Youtube. Kind of a game of cat-and-mouse.
Bottom line: if whatever downloader you're using stops working - look for an updated version.

From my experience using keepvid.com sometimes the videos aren't available but if i try later it works, ive downloaded lots of stuff using keepvid.
If you do use keepvid do not download or install anything on the page simply paste the url into the bar and click the download button to the right of the bar(not the larger graphix that are on the page)a box will open to trust provider(or something similar)click yes and the videos will show in a list pick the largest MP4 file.

Why no soundtrack on the downloaded 1080p videos?

That's got to be a problem with the program you're using to download the clips. Either that ... or you're volume isn't turned on :-)

I tried with Flashgot, Complete Youtube dowload server plugins for Firefox, and keepvid/keephd sites that not allow to download bigger then 720p. I'll give a try to WMRecorder.
WMrecorded has same result, the downloaded file has only video track.

You could download a lower rez version and resynch the audio to the 1080 version if its that important.

So I need to remux it? I tried it with Yamb, but it gives error. :(

What program are you using to play back the videos? It could be a codec issue? Download VLC and try playing the 1080p video using that...
-
freemake works well too. Someone here mentioned it in another thread.
http://www.freemake.com/
Careful when installing it, there's some already checked boxes to install garbage on your PC. Make sure to uncheck them and choose customize too to uncheck another unwanted program/garbage bar.

I tried with many programs, but NO AUDIO TRACK IN THE VIDEO FILE. Just the H264 video track. It's in some DASH format or what that's why you can't download the 1080p normally.

Firefox and Download Helper do those fine. dvdvideosoft Free You Tube Downloader works on almost anything as well but makes Firefox a bit unstable.
