Anyone know if 30 seconds to mars allows filming? They are going to town soon and woudl like to film if possible. Its in a tiny venue so stealthing might be tough.

i think it's definitely worth a try.  i know of a few permission shots that have come out.  i think they're still small enough that you could even get away with "implied permission" if the venue's friendly and the promoter doesn't end with blues.

I read in another thread (on this site, I think) that Sleater-Kinney aren't allowing video anymore, only audio.

I dont know how accurate that is.. but it isnt too hard to film a Sleater-Kinney show.. even these days.

I asked the drummer for The Walkmen if it was ok to film a year or so ago and he said he didn't have a problem with it.  That didn't stop the staff at Neumo's from hassling me, though.

The Scissor Sisters are NOT cool with video.  Well, at least their tour manager isn't.

30 seconds to mars will not allow taping or filming.
Pennywise doesn't allow any taping/filming.

I am going to see 30 seconds to mars and audioslave here in a few weeks, i wish they allowed taping.  I might try stealthing it, it will be my first time.  I don't know, it depends on the security and the pat downs.
